Why is the background black?

Because you are reading text on the monitor instead of a pulp page, this site utilized a black background to help minimize the amount of light that your eyes receive. This helps reduce fatigue due to a large amount of directly projected light instead of reflected light, such as a normal book would produce. It is our hope that this will assist in making your stay here as pleasant as possible.

What kinds of works can I publish here?

You can publish just about anything that is not pornographic, blatantly inflamatory, or generally not in good taste. This is a family site and offensive works will be removed as soon as they are discovered. Please read the publishing agreement for further information.

Are you a publisher?

No, we are not a publisher, and we do not get paid by any publisher, at this time, for the service that we provide to connect publishers to writers.

What do you do with my information?

We make this information available to publishers. If they want to contact you, they will do so using the information that you provide. This information is not available to the general population that visits, unless you MAKE it available. It is not sold for marketing purposes, unless you give us permission to do so.

Why do you only accept plain text for submissions?

We do this as an added measure to protect our server from viruses that may be embedded in other types of documents. This helps keep us up and running to serve you.
